Secret stays secret

particibyte keeps every election secure and true to its principles: free, equal and secret.

  1. Cast

Every vote comes from the voter’s own phone or computer, after a personal login.

  2. Separate

Name and ballot are separated. No vote can be traced back to a person.

  3. Count

Valid votes are counted, an empty ballot is an abstention. Nobody can vote twice.

From ballot box to phone

Fold the ballot, drop it in, count, recount. The phones in the room take care of that now.

Questions before the vote

Does everyone need an app?

No. The ballot opens in the browser, on your own phone or computer. Everyone logs in with the access details from their invitation.

How does the vote stay secret?

particibyte keeps who voted apart from what was voted. Nobody, not even the chair, can link a vote to a person.

Can anyone vote twice?

No. Every participation is recorded, and a second ballot from the same person is rejected.

Who gets to vote?

Accreditation decides: voting rights, groups such as delegates, members or guests, and substitute delegates moving up. For each election you set which groups may vote.

How are abstentions counted?

An empty ballot is an abstention. Percentages are based on valid votes, abstentions appear as a separate number below and in the minutes.

Does it work for hybrid meetings?

The ballot runs in the browser, in the room or at home. Whether absent members may vote is up to your statutes. Attendance in the room is recorded by QR scan.

Are digital elections allowed for us?

That depends on your statutes or election rules. Send them with your request, and we will go through them with you before we make an offer.

What does it cost?

That depends on the size of the assembly and the number of ballots. Send us the date and roughly how many people can vote, and you will get a quote.
